Birth - Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to book?
I recommend booking as soon as possible, as I only take on 1-2 birth clients a month.
Do I need to let my care provider know I am hiring a birth photographer?
Yes! It is your responsibility to advise your Obstetrician or midwife that you will be hiring a birth photographer. It is especially import with hospital births to seek permission - in saying that most have no issues with it.
How far do you travel for births?
I currently service all of the Perth Metro Area for birth photography
What happens if I go into labour before 38 weeks?
As a mum to a prem baby myself, I know how stressful this can be and the importance of photos. I will do everything in my power to be there or to arrange an alternative photographer to go in my place if I am unavailable.
Do we meet before my birth?
Yes - I recommend we meet before you book with me! To make sure you are comfortable and happy to invite me into your birth space. I also recommend we have another meeting around 30-38 weeks to go over everything and just have a chat.
