These pools are renowned for their comfort, durability, and impeccable design, ensuring a luxurious and serene ambiance for your water birth experience

Do you need to be having birth photos done with Sarah Kate Photography to hire the pool?
No, the birth pool is available to hire to anyone.
What are the dimensions of the birth pool?
The external dimensions of the La Bassine Professional Birth Pool are
170cm x 135cm x 65cm (67" x 55" x 26"). The internal dimensions are 125cm x 95cm. The birth pool is oval in shape.
Do I need to use the liner with the pool?
Yes! A liner must always be used with the pool. This helps to keep the pool hygienic and helps with ease of cleaning. Each liner is single use only and does not need to be returned with the pool, unless packaging is still sealed and liner unused.
When should I hire my birth pool for?
We recommend booking your birth pool in advance for collection at 37 weeks gestation.
Do I need to use a drinking water hose or can i use my garden hose?
It is recommend to use a brand new drinking water hose and not a garden hose or an old hose. A hose specifically designed for drinking water will not transfer any unwanted bacteria, lead, phthalates or cadmium into your birth pool that may be found in a regular garden hose. It is also recommended to use a brand new hose, so that no bacteria or stagnate water enters your pool.
What is the birth pool made from?
The La Bassine Professional Birth Pool is made from eco-friendly vinyl, containing no phthalates, cadmium or lead.
How long does it take to setup the birth pool?
The La Bassine Professional Birth Pool is very quick and simple to setup, taking only about 10 minutes to fully inflate with the air pump. However before using the pool you need to fit the liner and fill with water, so it is recommend to have it setup in advance and just fill when needed.
When will be bond be refunded?
Once your pool kit has been returned, thoroughly checked and tested your bond will be refunded via the bank details provided when booking, provided everything is returned complete, dry, clean and undamaged. If the pool requires deep cleaning a cleaning fee will be deducted from your bond. Damage or missing items will also be deducted from the bond accordingly or you will be charged the replacement cost.
